What can I do for my aglaonema plant that has developed scales?

My plant has developed scales on the outside, what can I do for it.

The best way to get rid of scale is to treat the plant by applying a granular systemic insecticide like Imidacloprid to the soil. You can also try to clean the scale off with alcohol or soap, but this is far less effective.

it might not be getting enogth light. if there is enough sunlight in a room for you to read the newpapper and for you to do needle point with out tureing on the light the room is an appropriate place for the plant

The first thing you need to check is if something in the care or the surroundings of the plant has changed that would be the first thing.

Well, unfortunately, scales can't really be reversed. They are natural in nature and occur often. Yes, you may be able to re cultivate the plant so that the scales can fade over time.
