The largest you can plant are called the purple velvet plants. These purple velvet plants can grow very large and I highly recommend that you take benefit from these beauties!

A few good choices would be, Blitz, Mango, Salmon, Red, White, Jungle Gold, Appleblossom, and Royei. They do well in the ground or in planters so they are a good choice. They range in size from 18 inches to 4 feet.

The Blitz series of impatiens grow tall. Blitz Mango, Salmon, Red, and White grow in the 18" range. Jungle Gold, Rockapulco Appleblossom, and Rockapulco Orchid can grow up to 20". Infinity Pink Frost, Infinity Orange Frost, and Infinity Crimson grow to the 14" size. These plants do fine in window boxes, hanging planters, as border plants, or in ground.

You can plant any size impatiens, although you may have to cut back the stems on extremely large plants to allow the roots time to become established before the plant begins blooming. Impatiens are typically sold in small six-packs, 4" pots and 6" pots. Larger plants may be available from specialty nurseries.
