clay soil is the best place for cultivating cane plants.water is required in surplus for such plants.the climate can be moderate. cane plants grow rich in clay soils.

The sugar cane plant needs tropical or subtropical conditions in order to thrive. If you live in an area that is very dry you will need a lot of water to keep the plant alive. They thrive in Louissiana and Florida aside from the Central and South America,Asia, Africa.

Cane plants are tropical so they thrive in locations with an abundance of heat and sunlight. In colder regions they'll do fine indoors by a south facing window.

Cane plants are great for offices or homes. They do not reqiure a lot of maintenance. It needs only moderate light so any room that has windows that let in the sun's light are good. They will compliment a family or living room beautifully.
