Get the poor thing to a vet for a thorough cleaning of the wound and cutting away of infected tissue. Antibiotics will be needed for infections. Then clean your house!

Take your cat to a vet to have the wound thoroughly cleaned and treated, especially if the wound is large or gaping. This sounds quite serious and worthy of professional attention.

Take your cat to the emergency vet and make sure that your cat gets the help it needs. That would scare me an good luck with your cat.
