Question by  gromgorn (14)

What can I do about rodent damage to my insulation?

Answer by  RepairItMan (419)

Generally, you'll want to take care of the rodent problem first. Once you have gotten rid of the critters, you'll find that most insulation companies offer blow-in solutions, so they can get in the attic and replace the insulation.

Sue! Sue! Sue! - of course. Those little rats have been getting away with this for far too long! An example must be set and this a golden opportunity to do just that. The damage can readily fixed with canned expanding foam. But that's not the point. These devil may care pests need to be taught a lesson.

If a rodent has been in the insulation you may want to remove it and install new. Otherwise just patch the holes or damage.
