along the bottom of your foot is a long muscle which acts like a spring when you walk this muscle could be strained causing your numbness

When I had gestational diabetes I had a lot of numbness in my toes and in my fingers. If the toe is cramping though it could also be a lack of potasium. whitebird

You could have poor blood circulation and that is causing the numbness due to lack of feeding to the nerves.
