Non operative methods include immobilization using cervical collar and modification of activities. Early operative management helps in ligament reconstruction. Surgical procedures include open procedures and minimally invasive procedures. Open procedures include large incisions and muscle stripping. These procedures are riskful and it is advisable to go for the less invasive techniques using laser technology. The recovery time is also less.
