What is the average prices of a Lennox A/C Compressor?

I just had the compressor replaced in a Lennox system, 2 ton unit (I think), about 10 to 12 years old that uses R22. Northwest Arkansas. Installed, parts, labor & taxes $1263. Don't know what the SEER rating is. Replacement had another brand name, don't remember the name.

Prices of anything depends on where you live, and where you are going to purchase your product. If you shop online, you can probably get one for approximately $2000. 00 plus shipping and handling. You can possibly get one for a little less by shopping on ebay or by doing some research on local dealers.

From a quick search online at Google shopping. The cheapest price I found for a compressor was $30, but they can go up to $40. They can be cheaper if you need a smaller one.
