Give the cat plenty of water and keep it in cool places The more hot the place the more unrestive it can be. You can feed him tablets like catarin which you can get from the pet store. This should bring down his temperament a bit. Some cats are active at a particular time of the year.

Believe it or not, animals like your Himalyan cat are now prescribed anti-anxiety drugs, just like people! Paxil, prozac and zoloft are some of these as well as ativan and zaanax! When you think of this it makes sense because thats why humans take it. I am not sure of the doses though.

It is my experience that any cat suffering from anxiety, will often find comfort in a playmate. Most cats seem to find a great amount of joy from having another cat's company. Often times the second felin will also keep your precious kitty in a shape that is not round, and flabby.
