Kidney stones in dogs are like those in humans. The only way for you to get them out is to go to the vet and let them have a look at it. Then they will decide which will be the best way to go- for an operation or the blast it open by sonic.

If this the case you must take it to the vet immediately. The vet will be able to to tell you if he needs surgery or if you can just feed him a special diet to help them pass and provide antibiotics for any infection.

If you dog seems to be in a lot of pain or if you suspect that he may have kidney stones, you need to take him to the vet right away. In the meantime, try to help him get comfortable with a soft bed and keep his food and water bowl close to him.

You need to bring your dog into a vet immediately. Kidney stones can cause blockages and can kill a dog. He might only need a cathader to pass the stones, but he might need surgery. There are also things you can do to prevent the recurrence of kidney stones, such as feeding a special kind of food.

They are hugely painful but I do know that there are things the vet can give them for the stones and the pain I also know there is a surgery they can do to get rid of them.
