What are three methods for reducing the amount of fat in a recipe?

You can try substituting apple sauce for the oil in baked goods. You can just use less oil/fat in general. You can also try grilling/broiling instead of frying.

Reduce the amount of animal or vegetable fat by 1/3 or a little less in every recipe instead of one cup use two thirds of a cup, substitute skimmed milk with whole milk, use the lowered fat versions of yoghurt, cheese, cream if their fat content isn't required for the recipe.

Always measure the oil or butter you are using. You can easily use a measuring cup or spoon. Try using low far alternatives such as margarine. Last of all try and omit and fat from the recipe by substituting with another ingredient.
