Top 10 things to do in NY - Empire State Building, Central Park, Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty, Broadway Shows - Phantom, Chicago, Wicked, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Fifth Avenue Shopping, Ground Zero, Circle Line Cruise, Arthur Ave in the Bronx and the Bronx Zoo. There are so many things to do it is hard to pick 10.

1. Statue of Liberty 2. Ellis Island 3. Using the Subway 4. Enjoying the Cuisine 5. People Watching 6. Visiting the very elaborate stores, especially the crazy made lego one 7. Visiting Central Park 8. Attending a Broadway Musical 9. Visiting the Brooklyn bridge and walking its entire length 10. Trying a street vendor

It depends on whom you ask, as well as your interests. A few suggestions: Statue of Liberty, WTC site, NY Public Library, see a show on Broadway, shop the street vendors in the Village, go to the top of the Empire State Building, St. Pat's Cathedral, etc.
