Although it will be cold a carriage ride through Central Park, snuggled under blankets with hot chocolate is irresistable. You can take the subway or cab down to Southstreet Seaport and watch the boats come up the river while inside where it is warm. How about dinner in Little Italy?

Even though it will be cold, you can go to numerous broadway shows, numerous television production shows, the Empire State Building, art museums, the stock exchange, etc.

You can ice skate and people watch at Rockefeller Center, take in a show at Radio City Music Hall, enjoy the delights of Central Park, get tickets for David Letterman show or take a carraige ride around the city.

If you're looking at staying inside, then you should check out the museums that NY has to offer. The MOMA is the modern and contemporary art museum, the Met offeres art from all ages and the Natural History museum is world class. The Cloisters Museum is beautiful and one of a kind.
