What are the different ways in which we elevate people?

By complimenting an achievement of someone that others may not have noticed while in a group setting or a conference call.

Sometimes we elevate them out of respect, because we admire things they do. Other times we elevate them falsely because of their status, because we think we can get something.

People can be elevated within our present society through building bonds with other individuals, becoming involved in their community, and pushing themselves. Through the creation of a sophisticated network individuals are capable of connecting themselves to people they otherwise would not have access too. Through this access individuals are afforded opportunities to position themselves higher than what they were.
