There is a link between tsh levels and miscarriages. This is because when the tsh levels are too high, the thyroid is too slow and not working properly. When this happens, the fetus may not be receiving enough hormones or nutrients in order to grow properly. Medicine can help this, talk to your doctor or midwife.

Elevated TSH levels indicate a lack of thyroid hormone in the body. Low thyroid levels can cause a lot of problems for you and the baby, but miscarriage is not listed as a frequent symptom. Are you being treated for hypothyroidism? If you are pregnant or planning to conceive, you need to talk to your doctor about taking thyroid hormones.

Miscarriages are more likely in people with thyroid disfunction in the early weeks of pregnancy but if you get thyroid hormone during the first trimester, it should reduce your chances of miscarrying.

Yes, high tsh levels have cause miscarriages in the past however, this is completely preventable. You can be tested for your thyroid levels at your general practitioners office and the doctor will let you know proper treatments.

If your TSH levels are elevated, associated with hypothyroidism, a miscarriage is very likely. Levels should stay between between .24 and 2.99 during your pregnancy. Anything above or below these numbers unfortunately put your pregnancy at risk. However, if a doctor prescribes radioactive iodine to treat the thyroid, it can bring the TSH levels down and not harm your pregnancy.

I had high levels of TSH during my 3rd and 4th pregnancy. You need to be seen by a Thyroid specialist in order to determine exactly where your levels need to be.

Yes,elevated TSH levels cause a miscarriage.TSH harmone release is very high when your levels are high.Prolactin(PRL) is also a harmone which is released from brain, which effects on your utres lining(Endometrium) where the baby hatches.Because of high TSH, PRL plus Endometrium lining gets effected.because of this , miscarriage occurs.
