What are the different positions in a hockey team?

The different positions are center forward, right forward, left forward, left defense men, right defense men, and the goalie. There can only be 6 players allowed on the ice during a game. The forwards are the ones that score the goals, the defense men are the ones that help protect the goal, and the goalie is the main defense.

There are five different positions in ice hockey: goalie, left wing, right wing, center, and defenseman. There are two defensemen, but one of each other position, ordinarily.

There are forwards, defensemen and goalies. The game is played with three forwards (right wing, center, left wing), two defensemen (right defense, left defense) and one goalie. The primary job of forwards is to score goals The primary job of defensemen is to reduce/prevent the other team's scoring opportunities. The goalie keeps the puck out of the net.
