Adolescent development tasks is the process of moving from childhood to adult hood, so they themselves can parent. It involve accepting one's self, discovering one's identity, deciding on career, and the accompany intellectual and cognitive process that go with that. It is achieved by guidance through trial and error.

One is having a mature relationship with other(boys and girls).Next is achieving a social rule in the community he or she lived in.Third is accepting the physical attributes of themselves.Fourth is having an emotional independence to parents.And last is preparing themselves for career, marriage and parenting.

I am a teacher, and work with children. would say the primary developmental task of adolescence is moving from childhood into adulthood, and depending less on adult guidance in making choices. In some sense one is taking the moral guidance adults gave them as children and making own choices.

The only thing a teenager has to do, is be theirselves. Don't let other people tell them what to do, but let them decide themselves.
