Leghorns were originally bred in Tuscany, Italy. They are noisy and a bit smaller than most other breeds, and they can be almost any color. They're usually nervous and flighty, tending to avoid human contact. But their most important characteristic is that they are one of the best layers of white eggs among all chicken breeds.
