I highly recommended the Yamaha brand which has a YFL-221 model that is very favorable. Clark has a good variety and I love the sound of hand made wood wind.

The intermediate student requires an instrument that requires more skill to play, is durable enough for the challenges of student life, and does not break the bank. Larger instrument companies like Yamaha and Gemeinhardt, who cater to professional musicians, will have a good selection of intermediate instruments.

The best flutes are made by the Yamaha company. You should get one. Their relatively cheap at 100 a price.
