Absolutely. The Emerson Flute, made by Conn-Selmer, Inc. has a database on line to reference your serial number. According to their website, if you take the first digits of the serial number and add 50, you'll get the year manufactured. This works for flutes made after 1974. For example, a flute made in 1980 would have the first digits 30.
