My Ibanez is a guitar for every occasion!

I would look at garage sales, and pawn shops for used american made fender or gibson electrics. With luck, you might get a guitar worth far more than 300 dollars for far less than 300. If you insist on buying a new guitar, I would suggest a fender squire strat.

Personally I have found that Squire (by fender) is quite an amazing guitar and the price ranges from $100-$440 depending on the type of guitar you get.

Entry-level Ibanez guitars for a heavier sound like a Gibson, or an OLP if you want a more clean sound like a Fender.

Guitar Center has some great electric guitars for under $300. 00. You can get the Jackson JS30 Electric Guitar for $290. 39. Or the Squier Deluxe Hot Rails Strat has a very classic look and is only $279. 00. Another choice is the Epiphone Les Paul Special II Electric Guitar for $279. 00, which even comes with an amp.

I own a fender guitar and it is very nice. My friends also own fender and squire guitars and we all like them fine. All under $300.
