There are eight bank holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, early May bank holiday, Spring bank holiday, Summer bank holiday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

They are similar to American long holiday weekends, like July, 4, Presidents Day, Memorial Day. They just have a different term in England.

The dates are; jan 1st, April 2nd, April 5th, May 3d, May 31st, Aug 30th, December 27th, and December 28th.
