Hi, I would recommend that you get a gold membership straight away, although the console comes with three one months free gold memberships for three different accounts. I would also get some cheap and easy games to boost your gamerscore, as this is displayed to everyone who sees you. There are also people to follow on twitter for free DLC.

The first tip is to get Xbox Live Gold. It allows you to stream movies if you have a Netflix account, have chats with players from around the world. You can also download demos of games and many other fun things. Also, always make sure that you do not knock over your Xbox, it's dangerous for the machine.

It might be hard but try not to play to much its possible that your xbox could overheat. Also while playing never push the eject button while playing, it may dammage your xbox and game. When choosing where to place your xbox space is a must. If your going to leave it standing up make sure it can't fall.

I'd recommend you buy some of the games that have gotten "Game of the year" honors as you will enjoy them greatly. Also, try the online play, it's great.
