Assuming you are talking about an Xbox 360, you can insert an audio cd with the music on it, then just select rip cd, or put your music on usbdrive

With the original Xbox the only way is to copy the music from the CD. Insert the CD and there will be an option to copy the soundtrack.

Put music CD in your Xbox, then access the cd through the menu. You will be able to copy individual songs into the Xbox's memory. Different games have the option to play your songs during the game instead of playing the games original sound track.

You cannot download music onto your Xbox 360 normally, as you would with a PC or Mac Computer. You can, however, rip your own CDs onto your Xbox 360. Burned Disks, mp3s and iPods do not work. This means that you must buy or borrow CDs and physically burn them onto the system.

you have to buy a cd (or use pre owned cd) put it in the xbox and then the steps are obvious from there ;P
