Cedar hedges are very fast growing and will do well in both full shade and full sun. Other fast growers require full sun to grow well, so your local greenhouse will be able to show you them.

Some of my favorite types of plants are hedges. These plants can do a variety of things including growing up to hide your disgusting neighbors. A personal favorite to do so would be either the boxwood and the azelea. These two will grow extremely fast and are very easily maintained. I have many of these in my collection.
