What tips can you provide me for hedging overgrown plants?

The landscaping in my yard has become somewhat of a problem and needs to be hedged.

Take hedge clippers and clip the problem area. Trim it down to where it looks neat. Once trimmed feed, fertilize and water. Keep trimmed.

I would pick the most maneageable-looking plant first to hedge, and when you finish that it can be your point of reference for the rest of the hedges. Make sure to hold your hedging trimmers horizontal, and start at the top of the plant and then do the sides, then do the tops of all other hedges evenly with it.

If the plants are still full near the branches, they can be trimmed back. Fall is a good time to trim spring blooming bushes. However, if they are thin or scraggly at the base, it may be too late. Sometimes the only solution to severely overgrown bushes is to pull them out and replace them.

Well you should cut them off from the top. This will allow them to keep growing and then you can keep hedging them. This will be the best technique for growth.
