Try these for variety. I've added some botanical names to make it more confusing: Pink Lightning - Astilbe simplicifolia, Sprite - Astilbe simplicifolia, Veronica Klose - Astilbe chinensis, Maggie Daley - Astilbe chinensis. There are plenty more!

My favorite type is Purple Candles! These look terrific - almost like dripping purple colored wax candles left to had. The Deutschland looks and sounds less exotic but are easy to grow.

I love Astilbes because they are so non-fussy. They grown in the shade or even under bright sunlight - just have to make sure that the ground is moist at all times. I have a combination of Perkeo and Lollypop and they add a nice pink touch to my garden.
