Fuchsia Magellanica is itself a variety, or species of Onagraceae- the Evening Primrose family. There are about 100 varieties of Fuchsia, of which this is one. Other varieties of Fuchsia include the lovely Moonglow, which is pearly white unlike the recognized fuchsia color, and the Blue Eyes Fuchsia.

The fuschia megellanica comes in 5 varieties. There is the white, silver, green, rose and rouge. It is a lovley flower.
