What are some tips for keeping mail organized?

My bills always get lost and mixed up.

i have had this problem as well but if you can find the time to put them in a little slotted organizer it helps. also i got a little sectioned organizer which also seems to help. taking the time to put the stuff where it goes is the problem.

You can buy file keepers with monthly dividers in them, or a slotted box for the desktop that has the days of the week markerd

When mail is delivered, toss ads and unwanted mail immediately. Keep bills in one pile and rubber band them as you receive the bills. Put mail, bank statements, etc. , in another pile to be filed. As bills are paid, write check number on bill stub and place in pile to be filed.

There are plenty of mail sorting tools that you can buy to keep your mail in order. Just put the bills that are due in the front and you will know when you need to pay them. They also make little journals where you can put your bills in.
