What are some tips for applying eyeliner?

I'd recommend using a gel or liquid eye liner on the top of your eye. You can practice on how hard to press by using the back of your hand as a canvas. Also I'd only use a black pencil to put on your water line underneath and not mess with the actual eyeliner.

To apply eyeliner properly, you want to make sure that it's on your lower lash line, but if you're able to get it above that's even better and will prevent smudging. Just make sure you don't poke yourself in the eye! Also you might want to look for a waterproof kind.

Eyeliner pencil is the easiest and quickest to do. Drag your pencil across your lid in short sweeping strokes as if you were playing "connect the dots". Liquid liner is easiest to use when taken out of the container and used with a liner brush instead of the brush provided.

On the lower lid, put your finger under your eye and pull it down. The flat rim is where you apply it. For the upper lid follow the lash line.
