Let them watch you perform tasks and then let them do as you did, like packing away dishes, polishing shoes, etc. little by little, introduce them to doing things on their own. As you teach, make things look more like fun than a chore. Highlight benefits of being organised.

Make bins in your teens room and label them. Have a home for everything. In the closest and dresser make a drawer or spot for each type of clothing.
