There's Loch Ness, Loch Lomond, Urquhart Castle, Edinburgh Castle, the Old Course at St. Andrews, distilleries galore – many great sites! We enjoyed the drive through the Cairngorms most.
If you got to Edinburgh you should visit the Edinburgh castle. You should also visit Glasgow, that's where a lot of the Old Gothic statues, colleges and universities are. Fort William also provides some great tourist attractions and you can even the highest peak Ben Nevis. If you love the out doors Fort Williams is the place to be.
There are lot's of popular sites in Scotland, some of these are Edinburgh Castle, The Highlands, Iona Abbey, Wallace Monument, Camping and Caravaning Park, Cathedral and Abbey, Coastal Area and Estate Park and Garden.
Edinburgh is the place to go in Scotland. With the Castle overlooking the city and the historic Royal Mile leading up to it.
St. Andrews is another historic City with it`s world famous golf course.
Then you have the highlands, in Northern Scotland, with its beautiful scenery and long winding roads through the mountains.
If you have a car go out to the highlands and take a trip to Loch ness and see the castle in Edinbourgh. Consider going in August for the big festival in Edinbourgh.

There are so many amazing tourist destinations in this world most beautiful country. The places like Edinburgh Castle and Portobello beach in Edinburgh are the best in my list. You can visit other places like Glasgow and Northern Highlands too.
