It can be a cicada where it makes a loud horrible sound with its wings and are attracted to light. It is usually found in the garden and sometimes comes into the house. It can also be a flying cockroach also known as Palmeto bug. It is usually found in dirty, damp areas.

These could be flying ants. They look like ants but have wings and a longer body. If you find then in your house they can be destructive. Sometimes moisture attracts them and they eat away at wood. Contact an exterminator and have this looked into, it could cause expensive damage.

There is a bug that mainly flies at night and is attracted to lights which is called the daddy long leg. It is not a harmful bug and just looks as though it floats. The bug has long thin legs and a thin long body. It will not bite or sting.
