How do I get rid of flying bugs from my house plants?

I have tried everything I can think of, yet I still have these horrid flying bugs.

They are coming from potting soil and sewer drains. Home-made recipe from Terminex serviceman: take a small custard cup size bowl, fill it halfway with apple cider vinegar and then add several drops of any liquid dishwashing soap. Set the bowl by your plants. It takes a week or so but you will see them dwindle and then disappear!

I think the Fly Ribbon Flying Insect Killer Clip Strip (or fly strips) work very well. They only cost around ten dollars.

In order to get rid of flying bugs from your housplants, you may want to consider introducing a beneficial insect such as the praying mantis or ladybugs. These are beneficial to your plants because they eat the flying bugs that you're probably referring to. Another neat thing about ladybugs is that they can be stored in the refridgerator.
