Heading into fall, your best bets for sturdy flowers that can handle a little bit of weather fluctation are mums (chrysanthemums) and pansies. Both are hearty, colorful and easy to grow in containers. They look great grouped in masses, or intermixed with colorful decorative cabbages. Keep them deadheaded and you should have color to enjoy into the fall!

Hearty flowers I grow are Gazanias, Blacked Eyed Susans, Liatris, Iris, Daylillies, Coneflowers, Strawflowers, Zinnias and many more. The weather and soil condition makes a huge difference on whether the flower will be hearty or not. You must also consider the placement in the yard as to whether it requires full sun, shade, or partial shade.

flowers are one of the most beautiful thing which god has made. flowers are such a thing to which any person can get attracted. according to me some hearty outdoor flowers are roses,sunflower, orchids,marigold, lilies, roses of different colour and type.these flowers can be grown in the yard itself.shoeflower are olso beautiful and one can get attracted towards it.

Iris are very hearty outdoor flowers. They do not need to be replanted each year - the bulbs survive the winter cold. They don't take much uptake either.
