Terracing is one way to tame slopes in a landscape. It requires a retaining wall for each level of terrace. Another way, is to use ground-cover type plants. These can be vines or ornamental grasses. The important thing is to prevent land erosion.

Large uneven rocks that can dig into the ground would stay in place and look nice in a desert style landscape. Small trees and bushes look better in greener areas.

Planting plants with deep roots is another good idea for steep sloping land. A soaker hose system would be good for watering since most rain will runoff.

some good ideas for landscaping on a slopes. you should put to bushes at the bottom of your driveway this would make it look really good. your could also put a few oak trees along your property
