Biotin and regular scalp massages with or without coconut oil/jojoba oil work well. Shampoo less often, and when you do shampoo, use a shampoo that doesn't have SLS's or SLES's as they will strip your hair of its natural oils. Condition--especially curly-girls! Use a satin pillowcase for less hair breakage.

Growing out hair requires patience and gentle care. To minimize breakage, always use a quality shampoo and conditioner and never brush hair when it is wet. Use combs and brushes that will not break or damage hair. A balanced diet rich in lean protein is also very important for healthy hair growth.

Remember to keep your hair neat and trimmed every few weeks as it grows longer in order to avoid a messy, neglected look.

Keep in mind if your hair is healthy, you don't need to trim this often. I get my hair cut 2-3 times a year by a master level stylist. She cuts my curly hair dry, curl by curl which helps with curl formation as my hair grows out.  add a comment

Eat a balanced diet and take a vitamin supplement. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies can lead to unhealthy hair that doesn't grow out well.

To grow out hair you need to drink plenty of water and trim ¼” once a month.
