No medication is necessarily "good" for your dog. However in cases where an over the counter allergy medication is needed, Benedryl is often a popular choice. Please check with your veterinarian for proper dosing. Your vet also may be able to provide you with alternative medication for your dog's condition.

Your vet can tell you what is safest. I know that benedryl can be used for dogs. I was able to give my dog alavert also.
