Some dogs that have floppy ears have problems if the ear stays down all the time because the inside of the ear doesn't get any air to dry it out and that can cause the dog great discomfort
Many times dogs will get yeast infections inside of their ears. The way to prevent this is to make sure that their ears are free of hairs on the inside.
The most common are: allergies- reaction to food, surroundings. Keep his area clean. Trauma- he could have hit his head and caused bleeding, Parasites-fleas, ticks, mites. Keep his ears clean.
