The bible is not very specific about that, but where they were, was most likely part of the middle east. Therefore I would say that they were the same skin color as those who live there now.

It is difficult to determine this fact, but based on the believed location of the Garden of Eden, it would be most likely that they were of Arab ethnicity. However, the Bible account does not give any indication or clues to this question.
