I've heard of the "First Battle of Bull Run." Is that just the full and proper name?

Yes. There were two battles that were fought by the Bull Run river over a year apart from each other. In the South the battles are "First and Second Manassas."

Yes. A second battle at Bull Run took place in the year following the first one. The South calls these battles First Manassas and Second Manassas.
