The whites of my dog's eyes are blood red. Why?

He just got neutered 4 days ago.

Your dog may be experiencing an allergic reaction-- either to something in the environment or perhaps medication/anesthetic. If it doesn't resolve in a day or two, contact your vet.

It could just be a side effect from the drugs the vet used to make him sleep. It would be best to call the vet though at explain what is going on. This could be a serious problem with bleeding. It could really be an emergency. There could be something wrong with his blood.

Well I know humans with watery and itchy eyes are a sign of diabetes. Not sure if dogs get diabetes but alergies cause this. Your local vetrinatrian can fix it.

It may just be a side effect of his recent operation. It should clear up in a few days...if not then maybe you should take him back to the vet just to make sure everything is okay.
