The key is stuck in the tumbler in my GMC K-1500. How do I turn it off?

The quickest and easiest way you can turn the vehical off would be to pop the hood and unhook the battery.

It sounds like you may need to replace you ignition switch. You should try to wiggle the steering wheels while turn the key. Sometimes the safety lock can make the key stick. This should let it work free so you can replace the switch.
