No! Wireless internet funded by the government would give them the right to look at what you are viewing. There would be absolutely no privacy left. If the government did in fact fund wireless internet, think about how they could ration it out. MAC address filtering and data usage could be used against you.

Uh, no not really. It is just the internet. There are more important things that should be funded. Such as schools, education, health care, care for the elderly etc etc.

I don't believe that the government should fund ANYTHING that has to do with internet because it would just be one more way for them to control us. America is suppose to be a FREE Nation NOT a communist Country!!

No, the U.S. government is in enough debt as it is, funding something unnecessary like wireless internet is a waste of tax payer money. There are enough providers of free wireless internet, such as libraries and fast food restaurants.
