Make sure your laptop's wireless works. Try on another wireless connection. Then, make sure your router/WAP is configured properly. If all else fails, hard reset the modem with reset switch.

Try turning off your network card and then turning it back on. If this doesn't work, try restarting your computer and seeing if that will fix it.

If the laptop is running on Windows Vista or 7, check the device manager if the wireless card is enabled. Some laptops have wireless switches on the side that you need to toggle. If the wireless card is enabled, search for the Manage Wireless network page and scan for the available network. Call your Internet Service Provider for assistance.

Reset the power on the laptop and where you get your wireless from. Ensure all cables going into things are snug, and plugged in where they need to be on the other end. Try different locations and other wireless devices to see if its the laptop or source. Also, you might want to change wireless broadcast channels.

Make sure your equipment is on and you can see the network. You may need to move the equipment around to get a good signal. If you can see the network but not connect, make sure you're using the correct security settings and password for your network.

First make sure that your wireless router is powered on. Make sure that you actually have a wireless card in your laptop.

There are usually tests that you can run for your wireless adapter depending on what wireless adapter you are using. Make sure to update your drivers too.

First you should check for power to the router if one is being used. Unplug it and re-plug it in after 15 seconds. If there is no router being used it is important to unplug the power from the modem, plug it in again and wait 20 seconds.
