Yes, there is ALWAYS protein in your blood. Protein is a basic building block for many things in your blood, including cell walls, clotting factors, immunoglobulins, and enzymes that help transport nutriens. However, when protein levels are too high in the blood, this can be a sign of inflammation or disease.

There is a type of blood protein that may increase a person's chances for a heart attack. This C-reactive protein or CRP didn't have anything to do with increasing a person's chance of a stroke.

Proteins can be found normally in blood plasma, being about the 7% of total blood volume. They have peculiar functions as enzymes or carries. Their levels can even be used as a diagnostic tool for many diseases.

Yes, it is normal to have protein in your blood, but having too much or too little could signal something going on in your body. Talk to your doctor.
