No, they should not. This could be a fever or some other kind of illness. Take your pig to a vet who specialises in rodents especially if there are other signs of illness (not eating, dull eyes/fur, hunching in corner of the cage, weird poo/pee). Check the temperature in your home - it should be between 70 and 80 degrees.

Yes, because it is warm-blooded. However, if your Guinea Pig feels warmer than usual or exhibits other symptoms of illness you should take it to a veterinarian.
