Do I need a water bottle for my Guinea pig or can I just use a dish?

Yes, if you get them a bowl most Guinea Pigs, will play in the water and soil in it, instead of drinking it. Best to get a water bottle.

Its probably a good idea to get a water bottle for your little guy, because he might tip the dish over and get his litter all wet.

I prefer the dish because my guinea pigs dont really know how to drink out of the bottle and are scared of it, but thats just my little guinea's. What ever you want is fine.

I believe that using a dish would be just fine. A small dish can work for both food and water.

Reduce start up costs by making a C&C cage (google it). Dishes get dirty fast. You will need a bottle unless you can change the dish every 2 hours.
