A yorkie mine is a small dog that can be handled by most people. However they are more of a play dog than a task trained dog.

Teacup sized dogs need a lot of extra special attention and care. You have to make sure they don't fall from high places or get stepped on. They also need to eat special food for small breed dogs. If you have children in the home it's not a good idea since small dogs don't have patience with hair pulling.
