What can I do for my sick Yorkie, she has a cold?

Just make sure she is comfortable and has plenty of water. Also, if you feed her wet and dry food, I would just do the dry for a day.

If your dog has a cold, there is not much you can do. it is very similar to a human. Just take care of your dog as best as you can. Be sure fresh water is readily available. If your dog gets worse or doesn't get better within the week make an appointment with a veterinarian.

It is quite similar to treating a person with a cold. Keep your Yorkie well hydrated. Administering Vitamin supplements, particularly vitamin C will boost their immune system. When a dog seems to have a cold, you need to be sure it is not bordetella, commonly known as kennel cough. A vet will need to exam your dog and run a test for bordetella to be sure. Bordetella is highly contagious and you should be sure of the sickness your dog has before treatment.

Well, if your dog is sick, you should take it to a doctor. An animal doctor. A veterinarian? (I hope that's a word). Anyway, judging by your dog's name, I think it is related to New York. If you live there, you surely can find a doctor.

You need to take her to the vet to see what kind of cold she has. Once they know the cause of her cold they can prescribe the right medicine for her to take. To make her more comfortable you can offer easy to digest soft foods and plenty of water.

If it's a true cold, then your vet can't do anything, anyway. Just like a human cold, anitbiotics will not work. Give it a day or two and if the symptoms don't start getting better, bring her in.
